SIRE: Sir Donnerhall by Sandro Hit

Amongst the top four in the WBFSH Ranking of the best dressage sires in the world

Sir Donnerhall I has made it – for the first time, he counts amongst the very best dressage sires worldwide and ranks only three places behind his sire Sandro Hit, who leads the WBFSH ranking. Many of his offspring has been successful in Grand Prix competitions, starting by Samhitas/Kelly Layne/AUS, who took part in the Olympic Games, Santiago Song/Thibault Vandenberghe/BEL and Sangraal/Stella Hagelstam/FIN, who took part in the European Championships, as well as Sheeran/Jacob Noerby Soerensen/DEN, Cavalia/Jessica Howington/USA, La Gesse Hot Chocolat vd Kwaplas/Isabelle Pinto/FRA, Sai Baba Plus/Boaventure Freire/POR, Semper Fidelis/Heather Blitz/USA, Sir Schiwago, Sir Caramello OLD, Sir Deauville, Syriana/Mary Hanna/AUS and Sir Fashion/Anna von Wendt/FIN, who were successful in World Cup Freestyles. Sir Hohenstein/Bianca Nowag/GER won team gold and silver in the Freestyle at the European Championships for U25 Grand Prix Riders in Marignano/ITA.

Again and again Sir Donnerhall I set unique records with his heredity. In addition to Special Diva OLD (2014) and Smirnoff (2016), their full siblings Cindy OLD (2013), Sir Heinrich (2014), Candy OLD (2017), Caty OLD (2018) and Casey OLD (2020) won gold medals at the German Championships. Candy OLD and Casey OLD were also Oldenburg Champion Mares and thus lead the crowd of over 380 award-winning daughters of Sir Donnerhall I. Candy OLD also won the bronze medal at the World Championships for young dressage horses (5 y.o.). Sa Coeur became double World Champion and price highlight of the P.S.I Auction, with a knockdown price of 2.31 million Euros and has been placed in international Grand Prix competitions. He is just one of numerous auction top prices.

He has produced over 100 licensed stallions, including numerous champion and premium stallions as well as Sir Olli, bronze medallist at the World Championships for young dressage horses.

Many of Sir Donnerhall I's daughters have produced stallions, as can be seen in the Champion Stallions Dynamic Dream, Feinrich and Fynch Hatton OLD, Zauberlehrling PS OLD, Regional Champion, Don Romance PS OLD, placed third at the Regional Championships, Sezuan’s Donnerhall, double stallion performance test record winner, the young star Diamond PS, Glock’s Total U.S./Edward Gal/NED, placed fifth at the Olympics, as well as Fürst Bayram OLD/Frederic Wandres, 1.7 million Euro price sensation of the P.S.I. Auction in 2021, reigning Oldenburg Regional Champion and eleventh at the German Championships for young dressage horses. The Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion and P.S.I. record top price Fasine OLD and her full brother For Romance II have a dam by Sir Donnerhall I. At the German Foal Championships in 2019, Sir Donnerhall I produced another exceptional foal, the second placed filly. In 2021, Sammy de Luxe won the Austrian Warmblood Foal Championships.

Sir Donnerhall was second Reserve Champion at the Oldenburg licensing in 2003, winner of his stallion performance test and awarded the Ia main premium in 2005, and German Champion and Vice World Champion (5y.o.) in 2006. He is now trained to advanced level. Due to the high breeding demands, he is no longer competed.

His sire Sandro Hit, World Champion and German Champion, very quickly made a name for himself as a foundation stallion in dressage horse breeding.

His dam St.Pr.St. Contenance D, also produced his full brother, Sir Donnerhall II/Morgan Barbançon/ESP, licensed stallion, double World Cup finalist and European Championship and Olympic participant, Rubberball (by Rubinstein), AES licensed stallion and Stratege/Cora Jacobs, also successful in Grand Prix.

His dam’s sire is the sire of the century Donnerhall.

Sir Donnerhall is following in the footsteps of this revolutionary sire Sandro Hit

DAM: FLora by FLorencio I

Florencio was a Dutch ambassador for the best of German breeding. His outstanding paces earned him a score of 10 for his walk at his performance test, with a 9.2 for canter and a 9.5 for trot. Florencio's influence continues despite his death in May 2016; he is in 22nd on the WBFSH Sire Rankings. He is now only available frozen with limited stock remaining, and is a valuable addition to any breeding program.

Performance - Florencio began his sport career as a 4-year old under Simon Drop, and was the reserve champion at the 2003 Bundeschampionat. In 2004, Hans Peter Minderhoud took over the ride and caused a sensation when he won the World Young Horse Championships in Verden with a record score of 9.8. They won the Pavo Cup Finals a few weeks later and reclaimed the World Championship title the following year. Florencio competed internationally up to Inter I, but by then was already so in-demand as a stallion that he was then retired to focus on his busy breeding career.

Sire - Sire Florestan has cemented the reputation of Furioso II as a progenitor for dressage horses, and has been inside the top ten of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for eight consecutive seasons. His licensed sons include Fidermark, Fürst Heinrich (sire of double World Young Horse Champion, Woodlander Farouche), Freestyle and Flores.

Damsire - Damsire Weltmeyer won his licensing, his performance test, and was Stallion of The Year 1998.  He has over 70 licensed sons, and his high Breeding Index (152) from the German Equestrian Federation comes with a 99% reliability coefficient. He now shines as a damsire (seen in Danone I and II, and Bentley) as do his sons Jack Sparrow, Desperados and Don Frederic.

Progeny - Florencio produces offspring with enormous presence, three outstanding paces. His most notable stallion sons are Floriscount, whose first crop of foals dominated the German auctions, including the top lot at Vechta, and Charmeur, the Dutch five-year-old champion. He has numerous offspring competing at grand prix, including Henriette Andersen's Flavio.
