Leonardo 897
PSG level

Pending

Sire: L'Espirit

Dam: Karia J by Goodtimes

DOB: 5-23-07

Breeding: Dutch

Height: 17h

Leonardo is a kind, talented, gelding schooling PSG level. He was bred in Holland and trained in Germany until his import about 5 years ago. He has three very lovely gaits with an ease in the contact and a nice swing through his back, uphill jump in the canter and an over reaching walk. Currently owned by an amateur this boy was easily trained up to the FEI levels with his willingness to work and the ease in which he learns new things. This could be a lovely junior young rider or Amateur mount with quality for professional. Leo is now schooling a solid PSG working 3 and 2 tempi's and full pirouettes. We have started to play with half steps in hand and he is getting more strength and reach in his half passes. We think this boy is of super quality and temperament! Very easy going attitude. Leo did his first 3rd level show this past October and he was a perfect gentleman loading in the trailer, tying to the trailer at the show and going right into the ring for his 3rd level win and score of 67%. He was calm and happy to go right into the arena without ever seeing it prior. Leo loves to hack and go into the fields and gives his rider confidence. Very sweet natured and kind and would do well with an amateur, junior, or a professional. He will debut PSG when the shows open back up hopefully by June 2020!

SIRE: L'Espirit

This beautiful son of Lupicor became the sensation at the 2006 KWPN stallion approval. His appearance, behaviour, movements and jumping qualities made him stand out and earned him the title KWPN stallion champion 2006.

L’Esprit is bred out of the Holsteiner keur mare Hera O (s. Landgraf I) who received very high marks during her mare performance test. The line goes back to the Holsteiner stallions Calvados and Rinaldo (Stamm 4847). Out of this breeding line the famous stallions Lancer I and II, Lados and Hinault originate. In addition several international show jumping horses are bred out of this line. Some examples are: Cher (Piet Raaymakers), Classic Woman (Markus Renzel), White Jumper (Ben Schröder) and Carlos Boy (Ken Berkley).

L’Esprit is approved by both the Westphalian Studbook and the KWPN studbook, and presented his first offspring last year. Foals from L’Esprit have excellent conformation in combination with powerful movements. The filly Cegrid became the 2007 foal champion at the Zuid-Holland breeders society.

Dam: Karia J

Karia J is by the Stallion Goodtimes

Listed in the USDF Dressage Sires since he is producing Horse of the Year offspring!  This fabulous stallion produces offspring with good movement, lots of carrying power from behind, good jump and often the nice coloring of a pretty bay with socks.  If you like a shorter back in a stallion and a fun personality, this is the sire for you.  Goodtimes is one of the most bred stallions in Holland. Goodtimes produces good movers and power behind both for dressage and jumping.
